Tools & Hardware brands that market their products as made in the USA

See the guide: 31 brands marketing their tools and hardware as made in the USA

Tools & Hardware lists 26 brands that market their products as made in the United States: woodworking vises and router bits, drill guides, hydraulic jacks, metal-fabrication equipment, industrial air tools, gloves, and specialty cutting tools. Many are older manufacturers — the kind whose claims name a decade, or a specific building.

Specificity is the pattern worth noticing here. Severance Tool Industries says “All products manufactured in our Saginaw, Michigan facility since 1939” — a claim that names the plant. Castle Equipment puts it as “Made In The USA Since 1910.” Big Gator Tools describes its drill and tap guides as “100% American-made.” INCRA states “All INCRA products are made in the USA.” Whether a claim covers a whole catalog, one product family, or one factory is the brand’s statement to make; the registry quotes it and links the source.

The 26 brands are headquartered in 18 states — Illinois and New Jersey appear most often, with the rest scattered from Massachusetts to Washington. A headquarters is a location fact, not a manufacturing claim. Every listing is currently Self-attested; no brand in this category records a third-party certification in the registry.

I don't verify these claims. Every Made-in-USA statement above and in the listings below is quoted from the brand's own public labeling, with its source noted on the brand's profile. The FTC applies an "all or virtually all" standard to Made in USA claims (ftc.gov); meeting it is each brand's responsibility, not something I certify.

Common questions

Do “made in USA” claims here cover replacement parts and components?

Only if the brand’s own language says so. The quoted claims range from catalog-wide (“All INCRA products are made in the USA”) to facility-specific (Severance’s Saginaw plant). I record the exact wording; what it covers is the brand’s statement, not my interpretation.

Are any of these tool brands certified?

No third-party certification is recorded for any listing in this category. Every claim is Self-attested — the brand’s public statement, quoted with a source and a recorded date.

Where are these companies based?

Eighteen states. Headquarters here means where the company is based; several brands name their actual production site in their own claims, which is the more informative fact.
