Food & Drink brands that market their products as made in the USA

See the guide: 21 brands marketing their food and drink as made in the USA

Food & Drink is the registry’s smallest category: two brands marketing their products as made in the United States — a Detroit coffee roaster and a Vermont retailer of foods and pantry goods. That’s not a design choice; it’s what honest research has recorded so far.

Detroit Bold Coffee Co. markets its products with “Best Coffee Company Products Made in USA - Detroit Bold.” The Vermont Country Store says “Our American-made foods include Vermont maple syrup, soups and jams” — a claim that names its product scope itself. Both are quoted on their profiles with sources and recorded dates, like every listing in the registry.

Food-origin claims involve ingredient sourcing questions that make blanket statements rare and careful wording common — one reason this category is thin. It stays thin until there are real claims to record; if you know a food or beverage brand that publicly markets its products as made in the USA, the suggestion form is open.

I don't verify these claims. Every Made-in-USA statement above and in the listings below is quoted from the brand's own public labeling, with its source noted on the brand's profile. The FTC applies an "all or virtually all" standard to Made in USA claims (ftc.gov); meeting it is each brand's responsibility, not something I certify.

Common questions

Why only two food brands?

Because two is what I’ve recorded genuine public claims from so far. Food origin claims tend to be carefully scoped by the brands themselves — ingredients complicate them — and I won’t pad the list to make the category look fuller.

Do these claims cover ingredients?

The brands’ own words are the record: The Vermont Country Store’s claim names specific foods (“Vermont maple syrup, soups and jams”); Detroit Bold’s speaks at the product level. I quote both exactly rather than interpreting them.

How can a food brand get listed?

The same way as every brand: a public Made-in-USA claim I can quote and source. Send the brand name and website through the suggestion form or to hello@americanmadecompany.com.
